Dinner at Coonamessett Farm on Jamaica Night has become an annual tradition. It’s exorbitantly expensive for what you get—unless you’re one of those folks who can really take advantage and pack it in at an all you can eat—but we do it for the experience.
Last night was kind of buggy and duck-poop smelly. Perhaps not our best Jamaica night, but we had a good time anyhow.
It’s a lovely farm with pick-your-own veggies, lots of animals to visit, wagons to wheel, an ice cream stand and, of course, Jamaican food and live music on Wednesdays.

Hi there! So glad to know that Jamaican Grill Night at Coonamessett Farm is an annual summer tradition for your family…. and really happy that you enjoy the experience! Sorry that you find it expensive (from the photos it looks like you had a large group)… just wanted to let readers know that adults and kids 10 and older are $21.95, but kids age 4 to 9 are $12.95 and kids 3 and younger are FREE! The state requires us to add 7% tax, as you will encounter at all Massachusetts restaurants and eateries. What do you get for that price? An all-you can eat buffet that includes soup, seven salads and fruit dishes, a hot Jamaican specialty entree, rice and beans, corn on the cob, callaloo (Jamaican greens), cornbread, a pudding, hot and cold beverages…. plus authentic jerk chicken and pork with fresh mango salsa from the grill. You also get live music and dancing…. Vernon entertains with his steel drums, and everyone gets happy on the dance floor, especially the little ones. What else? The cost of a day pass (value $8 per person) is included in your dinner ticket ($21.95 – 8.00 = $13.95 for food and entertainment…. $12.95 – 8.00 = $4.95 for kids). So you get as much dinner as you can consume, live music, freedom to enjoy the farm during the lovely evening hours…. all in a family-friendly, beautiful setting committed to keeping agriculture alive and thriving on Cape Cod. Thank you for your continued support.. see you next summer!
